Can I Use My State ID Instead Of A Passport To Get To Another State? ?

I Live In American & I Have To Get To Another State & I Dont Have A Passport Because.. My Mom Hasnt Got Me One Yet But In Need Of Me To Get A Passport My Farther Needs To Sign Or Something Like That But I Aint Planning To Leave The Country So Im Wondering If I Can Get A State ID & Use That ?

You don't need any paperwork to get to another state. You need a passport to get into Canada or Mexico but otherwise you can drive coast to coast with no ID or passport.

That is quite a sentence! If you are going to fly, you need a photo i.D. if you are 18 or overr. if you are under 18 or going by land, you do not need I.D. paaports are only for going to other countries.

You do not need a passport to cross state lines in the USA. There are no check points at the state borders.
