What is a perfect computer for games such as Half Life 2?

Having issues live streaming Half Life 2 (pc version)?

• Hello, recently while doing a Half Life live stream on Twitch.tv (using XSplit) I had some trouble streaming the game Half Life 2 (for the PC). I began my live stream by beating Half Life: Opposing Force, and then decided to keep going with Half Life 2. Opposing Force -streamed fine, I dropped a minimal amount of frames, and I had a quality setting that guaranteed that. When I switched games, initially I had no problem. However, after playing for maybe 15-20 minutes, I began dropping every frame my computer attempted to upload. When that happened, I reset the broadcast, and it worked for maybe 5 minutes until I started dropping frames once again. I restarted my computer, xsplit, the game, the broadcast, everything, and it kept degenerating to the same state of dropping every frame. After giving up on Half Life 2, I picked another game and began streaming that instead. It worked fine. (It was not my wifi) When I ended the stream, I upped the resolution, maxed Half Life's graphics, and did a local broadcast (recording), I did not drop a single frame. (Running an Intel i7 2600k, GTX 560ti, and on 8 gigs of ram, with more than adequate cooling). (The problem is not my computer) Is the problem the game itself? XSplit registered it as a game fine, and I did not run into any set-up issues. Any advice as to how to fix this? Ideas as to what the problem is? Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

  If you have not overclocked anything then this problem is probably a software issue. Try reinstalling half-life, gpu drivers, Xsplit, Lan drivers.
