How do I get an official youtube channel?

How can I get more views on youtube and promote my channel?

  • I've recently made a youtube channel and started making videos, but they are hardly getting any views. I have tried to make content that are to do with popular culture and things that you would think would be more popular but it hasn't worked. I've also tried making video responses, but the youtuber didn't accept (I don't know why this was as it was completely appropriate to their video). How can I get more views and subscribers? Sometimes, the BEST videos that you'll EVER MAKE are the ones that really interest you, the stuff that YOU think is REALLY COOL and JAMMIN'. So many youtube VIDERS (thats MY OWN NEW CATCH WORD:) make vids that follow the trends and whats popular. What you got is tons of vids on the same stuff at the same time! According to how popular, or the number of years a particular VIDER has been on youtube, they usually get the greater amount of views on the popular stuff, and more. Of course you have your exceptions. One Hit Wonders like a snail driving a car, a man jumping into a volcano and living to tell about it, or a two year old girl who can juggle three hamsters, thats cool, and it gets views. To make a long story short, make vids that truly appeal to you, odds are, they will appeal to others out there as well, give it a little time. No Empire is built in a day and.... NEVER GIVE UP!!! I would like to mention a friend of mines channel, a funny and strange youtube Vider, but a Real Good Dude.

As a long time youtube user myself (been making videos since 2007), the best way to generate interest in your videos is actually to show interest and appreciation in other people's videos! Try and find people (the less popular, the better, trust me on this!) who either have similar interest to yourself, or are making videos you find interesting. Rate their videos! subscribe to their channels! comment on their videos! Do this with as many different people as is possible and practical. Other people who are also trying to generate interest in their content will really appreciate the attention, and are by far the most likely to return the interest, and become long-term supporters of your channel and videos. There are other ways to generate views, by sharing your videos to facebook, tumblr, google plus, any forums you visit, and of course what you are doing now, by putting yourself on yahoo, etc - but by far and away the best method is to show others that you are an interested (and therefore interesting) person!
