How do I make myself look prettier in photos?

Keep your hair however you feel comfortable. Smile in your pictures and look at the camera. Have an expression on your face that shows confidence. Some people may be models/supermodels with flawless skin; but they have ugly personalities that ruin their outer image. Just don't call yourself ugly and tell yourself you are pretty. Personally, I think you're too self conscious. Don't listen to other people, believe in yourself.

Well.... if you really think you're that bad you may go on one of those websites then turns a picture of you animated. Or you could just use a profile picture without you on it. A lot of people do it.

look for your goodside. believe it or not we all have a good side. there's always a position in the camera that makes us looks ugly and other that makes us look good

position it in a way that doesnt exaggerate any feature... Don't do the down-emo view...cus it makes you look like you are A. trying to show off your boobs, And it also makes your nose looks bigger or cheeks look chubbier. And Ugly... is the idea everyone has that is different. Ever see a guy and say "he's fine" and someone disagrees? Yeah it's cus whats ugly to one person isnt ugly to everyone. And you have to learn to love yourself before letting someone love you. Just look... the way you are comfortable looking. And present it on facebook with swag with maybe a generic song lyric caption.
