How do I make myself look prettier in photos?

I'm ugly and I want a nice facebook profile picture for people to see but I just look really ugly what can I do to make the pictures look prettier like any ideas not photoshop or anything tho but like poses or the way I look at the camera or backgrounds or filter effects like black and white etc??? To look pretty on facebook? Also good hairstyles to look pretty in photos?? thanks for answering im 14 btw xxxxxxx ps please dont say you're not ugly blah blah blah cuz you don't know what I look like and trust me I am so please just answer thanks xxx

Why do you want a photo of you that doesn't look like you in person? People at school would make fun of you for trying hard. Just pick good lighting, figure out what side of you is your "best" side, don't angle the camera at the same level as your face, raise the camera a little. Also black and white usually is a good choice for people with acne or uneven skin tone. I'm not going to say you aren't ugly because I don't know what you look like and you're only 14. You shouldn't be judged on appearance anyway. Beauty should be on the inside. But honestly, I wouldn't try looking different in photos on Facebook because kids at school would say something about it. I'll never forget I was 16 and met someone off the Internet and he said "you're a sneaky picture taker, you look nothing like that" ha.. And never heard from him again.
