Who is the great businessman?

Businessman? Who are they?

• My dad buys and sell land property. But he doesn't have an office. He doesnt think of himself ad a businessman,because he works as a mechanic.And he saves money then with the money he saved he buys property then he sell it. So who is a businessman? The one who we always see in the films?The one who's always busy ecc.? Or is a total different thing?

  Everybody is a business man. Maybe more correct is to that everyone who is related to money is a business man... At least everyone should think of himself as a business man. However I know this doesn't sounds to you like what do you think of. In the world of business there are 4 types of people 1-people working for someone (employees) 2 people working for themselves - (self employed) 3- big business owners 4 - investors Each one of those type is conducting some sort of business. However 3 and 4 and what we call rich. Big business owners (people like Bill gates, Steve Jobs, Michele dell etc) work on their business and open positions for employment for other people. (the 1st type). Self employed people basically work for themselves as the titles says. They might be book authors, movie stars on commission, singers, rap/rock stars and people owning small business (like neighborhood store, or small website etc.) Or also people doing deals. Like your father currently has a job so he is employee working in other business and he does deals with properties in his part time. The movies usually distort the reality of the business people and most of the time make them bad and greedy which is completely far away from the truth. Actually most true businesses owners are one of the most generous and happy people. (look who make the biggest donations). And due to because they have to work hard to create those businesses they are always busy - yes. Investors also could be called business man. Those are people that have money work for them. They have worked hard to have money and now they are looking where to invest their money so they have money work from them. Also very responsible task. In modern days we can see business people (those you are thinking of) in all ages,all sexes, races etc ,and working from all places. Like Ford started in his garage.
