Where can I buy a vintage Polaroid camera in New York?

  • I was looking for a polaroid camera, preferably the OneStep SX-70 but I don't wanna order online. I'd rather buy it in a store. I was wondering if there were any stores or thrift stores I could find one or something similar in. I live in the Bronx but I'd be willing to travel to Manhattan. It'd be awesome if you could include the address! Thanks in advance :)

    If you want to get a fully refurbished Polaroid camera, and price is no object, go to The Impossible Project space on Broadway just north of Canal. They take old Polaroid cameras, clean them up, readjust the shutter and exposure system, and package them up new. They can also sell you the film, and show you how to use the camera.

Polaroid film actually made by polaroid expired in 2009. You can try to use it, but it is hit and miss, and you may have to pay ungodly amounts for a pack of film the only company to make film is the impossible project http://shop.the-impossible-project.com/shop/film better would be to get one of Fujifilm's instax cameras that work much like a polaroid, but slightly less the cost.

B&H Photo. Good to see someone from the Bx ask a question. I lived in the Bronx 1/2 my life. PS- Going digital is a heck of a lot cheaper in the long run rather than film.
