Where To Buy Shipping Containers?

Where can i find really cheap 40 foot shipping containers to build a compound with?

  • ok so im planning on moving to tennesse and building a compound type home from shipping containers because i fear emp's and nuclear fallout so i need some place where i can buy about 24 40 footers and 4 10 footers so please help thanx :)

    nothing will save you from nuclear fall out or EMP,s but a lot of people are making homes out of old shipping containers

depends where u live. I just go down town phoenix and they are sold there. check on line for them in your area

That's a fair number of containers you'll be needing. You might find you need other sizes as well. You can also get 20 foot, 45 and 48 feet containers if you are in the US. 10 foot containers are a lot harder to come by. You'd be better getting to Tennessee first and then ordering them from that State as the transport costs for that many will be a great deal less. I'm sure you know that you'll pay less for used containers as opposed to brand new ones. I've included a link to a site with loads of container home examples for you to consider. Good luck with it.

Check out ContainerAuction.com. If they don't have one listed you can request one and chances are they have it. I bought one through there last month.
