How to Self-Study Korean As Effectively As Possible?

• I'm going to start self-studying the Korean language in less than week's time, and I aspire to learn two years' worth by June, 2013. Currently a high-school student, Non-Korean, intending on taking the SAT Subject Test for the Language(that's why I'm trying to learn two years' worth by the specific month and date). Recommended resources, textbooks, etc? Have you ever done something like this? : Learning a completely foreign language and acing a test of competency? Thank you!

  It's pretty difficult to learn a language solely by yourself. It's possible, but it is time-consuming. Not to mention that Korean is one of the more difficult languages to learn. Yes, I am a native Korean and I taught it to students. Grab some prep books, and definitely look on YouTube; there are some pretty helpful videos. If you can, try to find a tutor, or even a Korean class. And lastly, immerse yourself in Korean culture. It'll help you learn the language faster.
