How to get big, natural, loose curls?

  • How to create loose wet curls?(Please help!)? I love curly hair when its naturally curly like right from the shower. Like most Hispanic girls, their curls are loose and weighed down just by mousse or a light gel etc. I am black and Italian with tight curls, but not tight enough to be kinky.They go a bit past my shoulders and are extremely thick. When conditioner is in my hair and i comb through, my curls become big and loose but as soon as i wash the conditioner out they go back to the way I don't like. I've tried pretty much everything to weigh them down and it doesn't work. Here are all the things that I've tried that HAVE NOT worked: conditioner leave-in conditioner Mixed Chicks Mousse(TRESemme and others) Gel Sprays Please help you guys! Is there any way I can make my naturally curly hair be weighed down a bit into big loose ones??? I'm going to try to resort to Beeswax or my last final choice...Gorilla Snot gel(ew) I hope you guys have something that can work for me :-) Thanks so much for all your help. If you could leave a decent message saying why you recommend the product and etc. that would be great.

    I know a lot of girls with naturally curly hair like yours actually use a curling iron in the morning, to get their curls the size they want. Any beauty supply store will have curling irons in different sizes - you should ask the employees there which size you should use. Good luck! (I've always wanted curly hair)

I'm not sure that any product is going to do the trick. You should try keeping a few big twist in your hair overnight and untwisting them in the morning.
