Should I apply for 2 positions at the same company?

Company gives me two inteviews for two different positions. Is this a good sign?

  • So I applied for multiple positions at this well known company. I had the initial phone interview and that went well. The lady I talked to contacted me and wanted me to interview for two positions in the same department and the interviews are on different dates. The second position is not even posted on the job posting page. I had the first interview and it went well. The second interview is early this week. Do you think this is a sign that I might be in luck and have a shot at getting a job at this company?

It is at least a sign that you are still in the running. The fact that they gave you an opportunity at two positions generally means there is a quality they like about you and they just need to see where you would fit best. If I was interviewing you and you completely bombed it I would have made some excuse up as to why you no longer needed to come to the second interview. The fact that they are still expecting you to interview again next week is definitely a good sign. Some quick words of advice. You will not know which way they are leaning so if they ask you about the position be eager about both them. Stay neutral but give reasons for each position as too why you feel you would be good in that role and when intrigues you about each. Good luck.
