How long does it usually take for a pierced belly button to close?Is there any way I can make it close faster?

• I got my belly button pierced about 2 months ago, but on the past week it was rejected. The guy who pierced me told me to let it close and the re-pierce it. But I want to do it fast.. How long does it ussually takes for it to close? And is there a way I can make it close faster?

  It might take from six months to a year; just how long it would take to heal if you kept the jewellery in and it didn't reject. Just SSS twice a day will help keep it clean and healthy. Your body has to do the rest. Did your piercer insert a 1.6mm/14g titanium bananabell? Is he going to use Bioplast next time, to reduce risk of rejection? If your answer is no to one or both of those questions then you need to use a different and better knowledgeable piercer next time. Also, make sure you have finished growing, or it will just migrate and reject again, or the placement will be totally wrong a few months from now; and you'll be back to square one again.
