How can i stop getting adverts popping up on my screen,?

i keep getting annoying adverts and things telling me i have won stuff popping up on my screen. my pop up blocker is on.

Answer:
An easy way would be (if you have Firefox or google chrome) to install ad block plus. Or If that doesn't work you should do a virus scan. Good luck, I know how annoying they are.
