How to load ink cartridge?

My black ink is printing green?

• I have a hp photosmart 7510. Suddenly the black ink has started to print in green. The cartridge was practically full but it wasnt a genuine cart so I purchased a genuine cart. Still printing green so I ran a clean cartridges report and the black ink printing fine. I also ran a quality report and the black ink is fine on that too. Then after doing the reports the ink printed black on my project so reeled a load off only to come back and find the latter ones have gone green again! Im rather frustrated as I have to finish off stationery and im wasting ink. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

  What is probably going on is the document or image you are trying to print is not pure black. If you switch the printer to print in grayscale or black and white does it print black for the same document? Are other documents or images having the same problem? When you go to print, you can change the color options to have the program determine the color space, or let the printer manage it. Set it to let the printer manage the colors. Your hp may also have an option to print black only using black instead of mixing color. If so I would set it to print like this instead of mixing colors to make black because that also wastes a lot of color ink. After digging further looks like it is a pretty common problem for these and HP hasn't answered questions on their support page.
