What university should I go to?

What is the best way to go from Toronto to Waterloo University and come back to Toronto, both morning trips?

  • I am going to attend a conference in university of waterloo at the end of May. I will arrive at Toronto first (stay with my cousin in Cornish Road, Toronto for one day) and from there I will have to get to university of Waterloo to attend a conference that starts around 3pm the day after. So I need to leave Toronto in the monring. Also the morning after the conference ends also I need to return to Toronto in the morning to come back to Vancouver, (this time without staying with my cousin) I have to go to the airport directly from where I get off from the train/bus that gets me to Toronto from Waterloo. So I have two questions: 1. If I have to get to Toronto airport the same day that I leave waterloo university, When should my flight ticket for returning from Toronto (back to Vancouver be), 2. What is the best way to go from Toronto to Waterloo University and come back to Toronto, both morning trips? where can I book my tickets for Toronto-Waterloo (and vice versa), how long does it take each way, and how much is the price of tickets., Do I need to book them from now, or I can get the tickets the day before going to Waterloo?

  • Answer:

Toronto-Waterloo: Walk or take TTC route 74 or 88 to St Clair station. Take the subway south to Union Station. Leave the station and walk to the GO bus terminal on the east side of Bay St south of Front St. Take the Milton GO bus (21) west to Square One terminal where you can connect with the University of Waterloo GO bus (25). Total trip time is about 3 hours. TTC fare is $3. One-way adult fare on GO from Union Station to UW is $15. No reservations are required or accepted. Coming back from Waterloo you can go directly to the airport without heading downtown first: Waterloo-Pearson Airport: Take the UW GO bus (25) from University of Waterloo to Square One terminal. Take the Hwy 407 GO bus (47 toward York University) east to Bramalea GO station. Take the Brampton-York Mills GO bus (34 via Dixon going toward Yorkdale/York Mills) east to Pearson Airport Terminal 1. If necessary, use the airport link train to transfer terminals. Total trip time is about 2 hours 40 minutes. One-way fare is $12.85.
