Can I get lingual braces on the NHS?

What kind of braces can you get under the nhs.?

  • hello, i am under 18 and i am eligible for NHS treatment. my front two teeth stick out however i have straight teeth. my front two teeth are also longer then the rest. the treatment i have been offered is the normal metal train tracks, but was wondering if there is anything else that i could have under the NHS, as i ma very self conscious and we don't have much money. please help me somebody and please share websites if there is thank you.

  • Answer:

The only other option you have is to transfer into the private sector to have invisible braces. It will cost a couple of thousand though. Do not whatever you do walk away from the deal you have as you only get offered the one go on the NHS and the entitlement is nearly finished for you as it is not offered past the age of 19. If you start before that point they will finish it though. You do have to remember that you and about 75% of your age group will have them and all look the same.
