What is the best university for Masters in Construction Management?

Will a certificate in place of a masters in construction management hurt me?

  • I studied Architecture in a CAD class jr and sr year of HS, have a bachelors in graphic design, and am currently working as head designer for a small closet and storage restoration company in NYC. All that adds up to a pretty unique background. Seeing and being a part of many construction sites and being a part of that process while working in the closet bizz has peeked my interest in getting masters degree in construction management. In my research so far, I've uncovered the somewhat ugly truth of how much an MSCM would actually cost, and that there is an option out there for "just" a certificate instead of a masters. Would this hurt me though? Perhaps having the "full" educational background would help, but then again maybe a cert will suffice. Which option might be best for my career?

  • Answer:

A Bachelor's in CM is just as valuable as a Master's and would cost less.
