How can I improve my singing voice?

I have trouble singing high notes you see, and, I really want to improve. I'm getting voice lessons later this year, but in the mean time can you give me tips on how to improve my voice? BTW I'm currently 15, if that helps.

Yeah i think youtube may have some tip's if you wanting free help intill you get your lessons, I am singer, and i make Lyrics, and the beat's now depending what your aiming for, i myself don't use high note's i just Rap with a deep voice :D But all good luck with you. God bless.
