Advice needed on updating resume...?
-
Hello there... I am hoping to get some tips/advice on how to go about re-entering the work force after a few years of under the table jobs and gaps of unemployment. I am having a hard time updating my resume to reflect the last 2-3 yrs. How should I go about reflecting this difficult period of my life on my resume, yet still land my next job? Thanks for reading my question. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Answer:
Include the under the table work and put it loosely, then in the work gaps put freelance, and your primary trade and then mention at the bottom references can be made available upon request.

Just be honest. Just leave it blank if you don't want to put anything on it. If in case you will be called for an interview and the interviewer ask what are doing for those years, answer them honestly and explain to them why you choose that.
