How To Use Omegle With Proxy?

Problem with omegle video?

  • I am in college and use the internet from behind a proxy server(with an address and a port). I am able to use the Omegle text feature without a hitch but Omegle video just wont work. It won't connect to people and all that I see is the "connecting....." note at the top. After some time, I get an error message saying "Error connecting to Adobe stratus". I don't have this problem when I use a direct internet connection without a proxy server in between. Other online video chat features like Gmail, Yahoo, AIM work just fine. It is not a problem with a firewall or antivirus or port forwarding which I am sure of. And it is not a problem with my browser for sure. Also, I have the latest adobe flash player if it has to do anything with outdated flash players. Please suggest something..... I went on the adobe forums and found nothing that I could understand :(
