How do I make Yahoo mail the major email account?

Why do i get spam mail nearly immediatly after i make a new yahoo email account?

  • i made a new yahoo email account a few days ago...maybe 2 days ago and i already have 7 spam mails....why????

"...Gathering of addresses Main article: Email address harvesting In order to send spam, spammers need to obtain the email addresses of the intended recipients. To this end, both spammers themselves and list merchants gather huge lists of potential email addresses. Since spam is, by definition, unsolicited, this address harvesting is done without the consent (and sometimes against the expressed will) of the address owners. As a consequence, spammers' address lists are inaccurate. A single spam run may target tens of millions of possible addresses – many of which are invalid, malformed, or undeliverable..."

Sometimes it's a mystery how the spammers obtain an address. One possibility could be that the account name you have is one that got used and abandoned by someone else sometime in the past. If the account name is one that you use with another domain for an address that is receiving spam, then they may be throwing other popular domains like hotmail.com, gmail.com, and yahoo.com at their spam list.
