What are the best areas of Coventry to live in?

Which areas to avoid living in Coventry ?

  • We are moving to Coventry and looking for places to stay with good transport links. I wonder if someone could suggest which are the nice areas to live and which ones to avoid. Thanks.

  • Answer:

It's quite awkward because street by street it's different, for example in Foleshill one street is a terrible street to live in and then if you go up the road a bit, it's nice. Coundon is a nice area, but a bit posh, Longford nearer to the canal is nice and has good transport links. If you're white I would avoid Foleshill though, as you may feel out of place. Hillfields is a bad area. You can usually tell the bad areas just by looking.

I agree with other poster - you really want to live in a 'white' area if you're white as stupid as that sounds lol... my grandparents used to live there. I would probably rent somewhere in town for a bit, or maybe a short term lease (3-6 months) whilst you look for a 'real' place to live in, cause its important to have a look. If living in a building, avoid ground floors.
