How do i get into the nab afl u16 championship?

If the Raiders were 12-2 and the Jets were 11-3 in 1968, why was the AFL championship played at Shea Stadium?

• As long as I can remember, the team with the better record got the home field advantage depending upon their seedings. For example, this year the Steelers/Broncos AFC Wild Card game was played in Denver because Denver was seeded higher from winning their division. While the steelers had a better record, they did not win their division, so the Broncos were seeded higher. I understand that. did not. However, back in 1968, there were 10 teams in the AFL; 5 in the eastern division, five in the western division. The division winners played in the AFL championship. The Jets won the Easteren Division, and after a division tiebreaker between the 12-2 Raiders and the 12-2 Chiefs, the Raiders won the Western Division. Yet the 12-2 West Winning Raiders had to play the 11-3 East Winning Jets in New York? Even after Oakland had the better record and even beat the Jets in the regular season (the Heidi game?) I don't understand why. Can anyone tell me what they based home field advantage on back in 1968?

  The answer is that back in the old AFL/NFL days the playoff games were done on a rotating basis. It wasn't until the early 70's that they started giving the home field to the team with the better record. The Miami Dolphins team that went 17-0 in 1972 played the AFC Title game on the road at Pittsburgh. I believe they changed the rule the next season.
