How often should you change your tampon?

  • I'm just wondering because i always leak with mine after 4 hours, i wear do wear a panty liner but still. Im already wearing a super :/ Do you think i need to go up an absorbency or am i changing it at a good time??? THANK YOU!!!

    Your spose to change every 4 to 6 hrs but i dont i just put on a panty liner and wait till it starts leaking or untill i have the chance to change it and im fine so it doesnt realy matter haha

change as much as you need it will very depending on how heavy or lite your period is at the time

.Yes, it is not the leakage that is the most dangerous thing about them. The best is not to rely on them all the time but only when there's no other choice and make sure you do not exceed 4 hours. A lot of women love to wear them even at night but then they should not complain if they get infections afterward. I found out both our houses and our skin have to be allowed breathing to exchange heat, sweat, moist that's why tampons should be replaced by pads once they're removed.

You don't need to go up in absorbency. You just need to change it at 3 hours.

Do not keep one in for longer than 8 hours. This increases your risk of TSS.
