How do i pack light, for a 10 day trip to france this summer and can only have up to 50 pound luggage?

For a 10 day trip to France in the summer 50lbs of luggage is more than enough. A more realistic weight would be in the region of 16kgs or 35lbs, which you should be able to achieve with ease. Don't forget you will also have a free carry-on (hand luggage) allowance.

I traveled in Europe for 3 weeks with only carry-on. Surely you can get by with less than 50 lbs! In fact, going carry-on is so much worth it!! Never mind the money you save, think of the time you save and the worry whether your luggage will arrive when you arrive, and will it ALL arrive or will bits and pieces of it be left in a stranger's pocket. GO CARRY-ON. I'm sure you can do it.
