What are vascular and tension" headaches?

What would cause weed to suddenly give you pressure/tension headaches?

  • I have been smoking weed daily for over 4 years. In the past few weeks I have been getting tension/pressure headaches, which get significantly worse when I smoke. The headaches are mostly in the back of my head and upper neck but also my temples. It feels like my head is full of pressure and sometimes feels like my neck muscles are twitching/spazing. The headaches last as long as the high and then ease up and feel like the average headache you might get when you feel burnt out. This has happened twice before in the past 4 years and both times I quit for a few days and the problem stopped. I tried to quit this time but as soon as I smoked again, the headaches returned. Obviously the simple solution would be to quit smoking, but Im wondering if this is a sign that something else is wrong.
