Why are kids in Middle school and High school so cruel?

  • Why do most kids in Middle school and High school bully people who are shy and quiet? I was quiet during middle school and high school and people used to give me crap about it constantly! I like to listen and at times I even like to talk if a person is nice and calm (and not acting like a kid starving for attention). So why all the damn pressure? Have people like me offended anyone? Can no one really understand that being in large crowds and being surrounded by loud people is frustrating? Believe it or not it can take a physical toll on someone.

    I blame society. Look at the TV shows on these days. Young kids admire people with no morals or respect! Examples: Jersey Shore, Bad Girls Club, Keeping Up With the Kardashians and many more. Some kids want to grow up and be like Kim Kardashian and Snooki. And the music. Rap music talks about having sex with women and just having intercourse. So boys and girls think it's ok to do that. Kids idolize celebrities in the media which now a days have no class. Have you seen how girls dress? Short-shorts and low-cut shirts, Its ridiculous its the media and society morping these kids into something horrible!

I'm exactly like u I was always the "strong but silent type" I simply just liked to listen! And threw my 2 cents in every now and then. It frustrated me when I was in high school too. I noticed it was more annoying when I was around guys. When I was around girls they liked me for it. They wanted to be around me because I listened. Maybe it's the whole thing with maturity? After all girls mature quicker than guys
