Could I be allergic to milk?

My toddler is allergic to milk....please read?

• My one year old switched over to cows milk a few days before his birthday as recommended by his pedi. I soon found that it gave him a bad rash so she pulled him off cows milk and switched him to Soy milk, well that too gave him a horrible rash that got worse the more he drank the milk. She finally switched him to lactose free milk and that turned out the same except with loose stools included. She suggested that I put him back on infant formula for a month and re start him on milk. I did exactly that and his rash started within 15 minutes of drinking it. I came to the conclusion that he is just allergic to milk all together. I have not taken him back to the doctor yet but I have put him on a multivitamin and feeding him very healthy meals to ensure he gets his nutrition that he is lacking from the milk. Is there anything anyone who has had this problem can recommend to do? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  You will probably need to avoid all dairy, including margarine and butter. Fleshman's 100% corn oil margarine is perhaps the only brand that you can use. Give him a calcium supplement daily. That young, find calcium capsules. Open the capsule and mix it into applesauce. When he is older you can get chewable calcium supplements. Try rice or almond milk.
