How can I find out my Pell Grant status Online?

Can i still recieve the pell grant financial aid at a different school if im in repayment status already?

• basically i ususally get $2500 for fall and the same for spring semesters in the form of the FAFSA financial aid pell grant. well i was really sick this semester and stopped going to classes. I did recieve a refund check. i just got a letter saying that im in repayment status to the tune of $1200. My question is if i dont pay can i still just enroll at another school and use financial aid there? does this just ban me from getting it again at the school i owe the $1200 to? and am i actually just paying the school that back or am i truly paying the government back? any clarification would help, thanks!

  Until you pay that balance off, you will not be able to use Fin Aid at another school you will even have trouble getting enrolled in another school because you won't be able to get your transcript your school had to refund the federal government the money they received for your Pell Grant... because of this, you now owe the school while the school holds that balance (and even when they send it to collections for non-payment) you will not be able to enroll in any other school because you won't be able to get your transcript Instead of just stopping going to classes, you should have gotten with your teachers, your adviser & your Fin Aid office... to see if you could figure out a way to work things out and try to get through the semester... if you were legitimately to sick to be in school (were you hospitalized?) then they might have shown some leniency the fact that you didn't work this out is completely on you
