What are some good psychology schools on the east coast?

Best colleges and universities for an undergraduate psychology major?

  • it's my senior year and i really want to major in psychology. i want to know, based on other people's experiences and knowledge, what schools should I look into? (on the east coast please) any tips? how are the courses? & etc.

    Save thousands of dollars by attending your state university and get as good an undergraduate psychology education as you would anywhere else. Earn a top GPA so that you can be admitted into a good Ph.D. or Psy.D. program. A doctorate is required for a career in psychology. (The University of Pennsylvania is an Ivy.)

All the Ivy league schools have really good psychology programs but if you cannot get into one of the Ivy league schools then look into University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan, Duke University, Northwestern University, and the University of Illinois all have good Psych programs. However, the undergraduate degree really doesn't make that much of a difference as far as where you get it, your actual doctorate degree is what really matters. You must have a PHD in psychology to be able to practice it anywhere good. @ownpool I didn't know that UPenn was an Ivy league school, learn something new everyday. State university is still extremely expensive even if you stay in your own state, I would try and find a state college that offers a bachelors in psychology, that would be half the price of a state university.
