Why does the keyboard suddenly change from english keyboard to french keyboard?

my keyboard always changed from english to french so I suddenly write accents instead of the question mark and etc. Does anyone know why? so i can stop doing wtv it is im doing? thx. im using a dell laptop if that helps.
