How can i make an image glow?

Is it possible for me to make it in the KPop industry?

  • Well, I really can't stand the vulgarity and promiscuity that's incorporated into American media, and I've completely fallen in love with the styles of KPop. I love the way they dress, the way they act, how clean most of them are, and how a 20-year-old can get away with acting 14 and still be loved. And, since Korean people seem to really love America, I figure, why wouldn't they let an American girl into the public? I just want to see if I could possibly be the American girl they're looking for. Here's a little information about me; Name: Juliette Nabi Hendrix, but I go by Jojo (like Alexandra=Alex, Juliette=Jojo) Age: 14 (now) Ethnicity: White/Caucasian (American) Height: 168cm (about 5'6", I think) Weight: 55kg (120 something pounds) Appearance: pale skin, blonde hair that goes to my waist right now (but i plan on cutting it--up to my hairline in the back, sloping down to my collarbone in the front, then bangs like this--->http://www.latest-hairstyles.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/images500px/blonde-glow.jpg) Personality: I am socially a little awkward (I have Aspergers Syndrome, more info here--->http://www.teenagerswithaspergers.com/Teenagers_With_Aspergers/Home.html) I stumble over my words a lot I am quirky and have a fetish for weird objects Whenever I laugh, I ALWAYS either cover my mouth, clap my hands, or fall over) I have a violent side, but not many people see it I'm a klutz, and find it easy to laugh at herself I love kids and feel more confident around them than I do around other people my age (mostly because I don't have to worry about looking stupid in front of them) I eat really weird foods sometimes (ice cream with fries, tortillas/Doritos/Cheetohs/practically everything with mustard) I act like a real mom when I get around kids I love animals as well, but make sure they're not dangerous before I let them get around any kids I tend to keep my bad feelings to myself because I want to project a positive image I love skinship, especially when I'm around little kids, I like to give them lots of hugs and kisses^^ (Attributes:loud, funny, prankster, klutz, sarcastic, energetic, easily bored, sometimes naive, strong-willed, smart, spunky, friendly, humble) Talents: I can sing pop, rock, and opera music (I'm best at SHINee, SNSD, and Evanescence). I'm not a bad dancer, either. I can play piano, flute, guitar, and drums, all by ear. I'm a really good sight-singer (we do this a lot in choir class). I'm a fast learner, as long as the subject holds some interest for me. I can also sing and dance at the same time, which is definitely crucial, right? Experience: I've been in school talent shows since fifth grade and won almost all of them, I've tried out for Americna Idol but was told that I needed more confidence, which I've been working on), I sing every year at the Okie Karaoke thing at the Oklahoma State Fair Languages: English (fluent), Spanish (semi-fluent), Korean (just barely beginning, but learning mostly from watching dramas, and my accent is barely noticable) Yes, I know I'm not the most impressive girl, but surely there must be someone willing to take me, right? ...okay, maybe not right, but still. Does anybody have any helpful tips? Here are some specific questions I have; 1.) What's trainee life like? 2.) About how long would I have to train for? 3.) Is it easier to audition by sending a video or auditioning in person? 4.) What do they look for? 5.)What is taught during training?? 6.)What all should I prepare for the audition? Should I bring a vocal track, get used to singing a cappella, should I bring CD's for dancing, do I have to dance choreographed or freestyle, etc.? 7.)If they accept your audition video, how will you know? & what happens then? 8.)What agency seems best for me to audition for? 9.)When are the auditions usually held? 10.) What should i wear to the auditioning place? Makeup, shoes, jewelry, whatever? 11.)What type of song should i sing? (popular, english, girlgroup?) 12.) What happens after the 2nd audition? 13.) If I become a trainee, would I have to move to korea? Do have to move do my parents also have to move? 14.) Based off of my 'about me' what are my chances? 15.) What are some things to work on before i audition to improve those chances?

  • Answer:

Not to ruin your dream but I doubt you’ll stand a chance. Problem with KPOP is that all they want are Asians. From what I read, you don’t look Asian, which screwed up your chance to become a kpop idol. Trainee life is really hard, like REALLY hard. You get almost no time to actually do anything else but practice. You will not be able to be with your family and friends or even talk to them and see them often. Depending on how good you are and what the plans are for a new group, you will have to train at least 3-5 years, if not longer. I don’t know about the auditioning, but you could try both just to be sure. It depends on the company you want to get into. SM is all about looks, talent comes second. YG is more about talent and swag. But all of them need you to look Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese etc). If you don’t look Asian, you don’t stand a chance. Well you need to learn how to dance, sing and work in groups. You say you can dance and sing at the same time, but KPOP is about perfection. I doubt that they think your skills are good enough (not to insult you, but they will keep pushing you until they think you’re the best) I don’t know, I’m not auditioning but just to be sure bring everything. It shows you’re dedicated and eager. Again, I don’t know but you could ask them when you’re there. I would definitely NOT go for SM Ent. You’d never get in (it’s extremely hard to get in). Try YG, JYP or DSP. I don’t know when the auditions are held, search the internet for dates and time. What you wear is up to you. The song, I wouldn’t go for Korean. You say you’re not good at Korean, so your pronunciation is probably wrong. This could slim your chances. Try something that goes well with your voice. I don’t know what happens after the 2nd audition, again, ask them when you’re there. But first wait if you get through the first one. Yes, you have to move to Korea. How else could you be a KOREAN star? Your parents don’t have to move with you, but you do have to move. Keep this in mind as well. Well, each agency looks for something different, and I think your personality doesn’t really make or break your chances. Skills and looks do. Especially looks. Keep trying to dance and sing, try many genres and artists and definitely work on your Korean. I still don’t think you will make it in because you’re American and not Asian.

No I dont think so because youre white. Theres barely any non Korean Kpop singers and you not knowing Korean isnt helping (I heard that there is this one new Kpop group thats all biracial though). Sorry but I dont think that youll be a serious kpop star if anything, just something for them to ooh and ahh at variety shows :| But from something I did notice that happen once was this person on youtube called Pumashock who sang a slower version of Girls Generations' Gee and she got invited to go to Korea to a talk show so maybe if you sing very well and add your own style you can be recognized and itll be easier to land a contract? Heres a good article to answer some of your questions http://seoulbeats.com/2012/01/the-road-to-k-pop-stardom-auditioning/ http://angrykpopfan.tumblr.com/post/4057622792/the-ugly-reality-of-kpop-idol-auditions

To be honest, i always find it kind of sad when white people want to debut in korea... the chances are so low.... anyway.. 1. It is really strict. Diets. Exercise. I heard from..... shinee jong hyun i believe? on some radio or tv show that he used to practice singing for hours and hours and hours every single day! If you are more of a dancer, you are gonna practice dancing for hours and hours and hours. Don't ever think all that talent is innate. 2. Depends. If you are so good at everything to begin with, then a year or two? if you are young and need to practice more in everything, then maybe even 5 years or more? if you try hard, you debut earlier. 3. The big companies probably dont have auditioning in person too often. Send in mail. 4. Money making stuff. Potential for money making. Face? body? exceptional dance skills? exceptional singing skills? acting skills? a little bit of all? 5. if you got in mainly for singing, you are gonna practice singing most of the time but you are also gonna be trained for dancing and maybe acting and other languages such as japanese and english. 6. Yes bring CD for dancing. I think probably you need to sing without music. They wont know if it is choreographed or freestyle. choreograph it beforehand. 7. They will email you or call you. 8. Yg, cuz they seem most americanized? but it is NOT gonna be easy for you or anyone to debut in YG. 9. there's no specific time. They are held whenever they want. 10. dont wear anything uncomfortable or even too pretty. If you are mostly a dancer, wear really comfortable clothes. If you are mostly there for singing, wear anything you want. Dress nicely if you are there to model... but that isnt your case. 11. NO girlgroup. Singing in english would help you show your talent without language getting in your way but they would want to see you sing a korean song too anyway. 12. Its all different. Maybe they have like 3 or 4 rounds? 13. You... probably would have to if you wanna debut in korea. No your parents dont HAVE to move. You can sign like a contract sorta thing with them and live in a dorm? that the company provides you. you would probably live other trainees, probably mostly korean but came from somewhere other than seoul. 14. Hard to tell... it seems to be all your opinion. I cant be sure you have a good korean accent or are really talented in singing and dancing. If it is true though.... you have a better chance than someone who isnt as talented obviously... lol 15. ....
