How do I write a resume?

• I'm 14, and I'm interested in looking for a job. My friend and I have been discussing this topic for awhile, but we keep putting it off. My brother said he would send me his resume (the one he used when he was my age), and I could replace all of his information with mine, that way the format would be the same. I want to apply at grocery store that's down the street from me. It's called No Frills if anyone has heard of it. (It's in B.C, Canada.) I remember my brother filling out a little piece of paper that they gave him (he worked at No Frills). He had to circle his highest year in education, write his phone number, write his last working experience. That's basically a resume, but I think it would look more professional to make my own. What exactly do I do? Can anyone explain the format of a resume? I've never had a paying job, but I have volunteered at animal shelters, barns, walked dogs (I'm an animal loving guy.)
