Would I Be Able To Get Into An Elite Law School?

Will I be able to get into Law School?

  • I am an undergraduate who completed my A.A. degree. For two of my classes I ended up with a D (my only bad grades in my entire college career). I am now going to start my B.A. in the fall. My question is: In two years when I apply to Law School will these D's affect my ability to get accepted into the schools that I apply to? Considering that I got the D's two years prior?

  • Answer:

So long as your overall GPA is good, and your LSAT is in the range for the school, these Ds won't keep you out. Absolutely not. They will be seen, and considered; but they won't keep you out if the rest of your package is strong.

Other answers

As long as the rest of your gpa is fairly high. Law schools really care about the LSAT anyways, which is no cake walk in itself.

I know during my undergrad I could re-take classes that I got a bad grade in. If this is an option for you, do it! When you start studying for the LSAT you wish you had a better GPA. Admissions are pretty much just based on the GPA and LSAT score combined so you want your GPA to be as high as possible.
