I applied for a job at mcDonalds a week ago. How long should i wait to hear a reply from them?

A lot of their teen workers are going to college and they are hiring 14 new workers...i am 17 years old my self and i expressed to them in y application how bad i needed the job? Should i apply somewhere else?? has it been too long for them to call me??

Answer:
Do a phone call, ask to speak to the manager. Tell them your name and that you're doing a follow up on the application you put in with them a week ago. Ask if they've made their decisions yet. They're not obligated to tell everyone whether they got the job or not, just the ones they hire. At least this way you'll know. Don't wait, just get back out there and apply for other jobs.

You should always apply to more places, because a lot of jobs fill up quick. I just got hired at the 6th place I tried (16 y/o) and my new job is great. There's still a perfectly good chance that they'll call you back, but don't be waiting for it before you apply elsewhere. Even if you don't apply to other places yet at least take notice of who's hiring for what positions, so you're ready to apply when you get word from Mickey D's. Idk if its different for McDonalds since it's a huge company, but almost everywhere you apply will at least give you a courtesy call or email if you don't get the job, so they're probably still considering you! Good luck

you gotta blow up their phone...call like everyday after 2pm...or theyll get reallllly angry...dont go in person..the manager is probably snooty....call EVERY day..and beg beg beg

You should call them. it has been a week and it will show that you are interested and motivated. But don't call too much after or then you will be a pest. ALWAYS keep applying elsewhere as you don't want to just be waiting on Mickey D's.

Submitting an application and waiting for them to call you is the dumbest thing you can do when looking for a job. YOU need to call THEM and follow-up. The second dumbest thing you can do is to submit an application and stop looking for other jobs. You NEVER stop looking/applying until you have an official start date.

I would call them, ask to speak to the manager, and then just tell the manager that you had applied there and wanted to know the status of your application. After that, depending on what they tell you, I would apply somewhere else.
