How to become a freelancer professional web developer?

I want to be a freelancer web developer & want to work freelancing market place like oDesk.com,freelancer.com,elence.com etc. Please tell me what I've to learn.I need a complete guideline from a successful freelancer web developer.I am trying since 2009.I've learnt HTML(I am not sure about which version I ve learnt),I've learnt Basic CSS. Now I discover there are HTML,HTML4.01,HTML5,XHTML1.0,XHTML1.1,XH… But I am confused which version I should learn to be a professional?? Please give me a proper guideline about what I should learn? I also interested in wordpress & joomla developing, please give me a proper guideline what & which version markup & programming language I should learn to be a successful professional web developer. I'll very happy if anybody give me proper guideline in detail. Thank you.

I guess that you don't need to be good on all that. as freelancer you can accept offer that you see that you can do it, so you don't need to know all. exp. i can be a freelancer on just css
