What department of the navy job is better?

What are the chances of me getting into the military with poss of marij charges that are dismissed?USMC NAVY?

• i posted this before but i forgot my yahoo info so here it is again. Summer of 2010 I was arrested on one occasion for poss. of marijuana less than an ounce(mist) and concealment of a weapon. the poss. charge was dismissed after going through a program called a conditional discharge recommended by the just and the concealment of a weapon (not a firearm)was completely dropped without paying any fines after the judge found out what happened (I went to the army surplus store and bought a paper weight aka. metal knuckles and the cop said I would have them in my car even on my hand but since they were in my pocket they were a concealed weapon). I completed my probation without a single problem and paid my fine so the conditional discharge went through and my poss. of marij charge was dismissed. The second charge happened a month later, there was a little bag left in my car. The district attorney recommended a pre trial diversion program which I completed so that charge was dismissed. That was 2 years ago and I haven’t put myself around any types of illegal activity since then. When I got arrested I was in the process of getting my associates degree (which I completed) to help boost my rank a little when I went into the military. I have wanted to be a part of the military since I got out of high school and right at the last stretch I felt like I just messed everything up. Since August of 2010 I have been working on getting into the Air Force to be a Combat Controller (CCT). They need CCT's right now so my recruiter said even with my waivers of my charges I should have a shot to get in. I passed my special ops PAST test, got letters of recommendation for people in the department of defense, buddies in the army, the judge and DA that handled my cases, buddies in the navy, and working on getting one from a Chief Master SGT of the Air Force. I want this job so bad because of all the responsibilities, actions, duties it performs more than anything. I have been getting myself ready for the physical and mental aspects as much as I can with the strenuous activities and underwater. it just seems like they are tugged my chain and I’m not going to be able to get in. it has been almost a year and I have only took my asvab( I made an 80 ((could have done better))) I haven’t even been sent up there to take my physical at meps. my recruiter wants me to get in bad and has helped me with every step I needed to do even giving me volunteer work art the recruiting office to show I’ll do whatever it takes to better the Air Force with my services. I never quit at anything and always strive to do better. With all that being said I do not want to give up on the Air Force because I don’t want to give up on anything but I have started looking at other options due to nothing happening with the Air Force. I have talked to a Marine recruiter and a Navy recruiter today. The Navy said he wants to take me to MEPS to get my physical next week and the Marine said he might be able to get me a slot in the infantry. I want a combat related job so I can move up in the spec op chain eventually. The only thing I don’t know is if they are jerking my chain around like the Air Force has been doing for the past year saying "next week" every week. The Marines are my first choice because of all of the front line opportunities but the Navy has the SWCC (I know I won’t be able to do the SEALs because of the security clearance). Also the Marine recruiter is a GYSGT and is best friends with somebody I know so I heard he had some le-way. If you have any knowledge, advice, or expertise in this field please let me know. Do you think the Marines are going to say yes? Any real advice on what I should do? Please no perspective writing or just saying what you think. This is extremely important to me. I want to serve my country.
