How to clear blocked ears from flying?

Having ears syringed soon, but are my ears just blocked or could it be something else?

• It started like 2 months ago, and both ears were getting blocked up. However when they got blocked, they unblocked when i pulled my ears. Then a week ago they became 100% blocked and I can no longer hear from pulling my ears. I went to the doctor and they're giving me drops to apply for like a week then i'm getting one ear syringed (they can't do both at a time apparently) So yeah, that's that. Also even though I can't unblock my ears at the time being by pulling them, every now and again I will hear one of my ears pop and the hearing restored and crystal clear in the ear that popped but then it just blocks up again in like a minute. It doesn't last long when this happens. Do they sound like simple blocked ears to you?
