What jobs can I get with a geography degree?

Do you think it would be better for me to get Honours instead of a straight bachelors degree?

• In Canada at my university a bachelors degree is 3 years and honours is 4 years. I was going to do honours but now going into my third year I think I might stop at bachelors. I am not getting a masters, so I don't need it for that. But do you think it really makes a difference on a resume? I think in my specific case opting out of honours is best, but do you agree? I've decided I want to do front line work in my field, and am going to college once I finish my environmental geography degree to get a diploma as an environmental technician. With this I can gain experience in environmental consulting (analyzing for pollutants, making sure sites meet environmental law, planning impact assessments and remediation programs). The work doesn't pay a lot, but I'd love it, and I think with my bachelors and consulting experience I'd be able to eventually apply for an environmental planning position, which sounds equally as exciting but pays more. Basically I'm thinking that, even if honours does give you an edge for higher level jobs, won't my bachelors plus years of experience trump an honours student fresh out of university anyway?   Well the honours program is always better because its honours but if you're not planning on taking masters/doctorate then a bachelors degree is okay. Its up to you if you want to stop with a bachelors. Do what you think is best. :) PS. to the person above lol she spelled honours right. thats how u spell it in Canada.
