Pontiac firebird replacement engine?

What fuse controls the service engine light on a 1999 pontiac firebird?

  • i have a 1999 pontiac firebird. Its been running good since ive owned it and the service engine light has never been on until i got in it this morning and it was on. Well my brake light used to be on but they said it was just a sensor but now the brake light is off and the service engine light is on.... i went to autozone, oreileys, and advanced auto parts and none of there computers can scan it bc it cuts off on them so they told me that i have a wire touching or a bad fuse so until i fix that they cant scan it too see why the service engine light is on..... so what wire should i check and what fuse controls the service engine light?

  • Answer:

check your ground wires make sure they have good contacts and generally your sensors are all on the ignition fuses check those first then go from there not a whole lot to go off of do some searching for anything out of the ordinary like disconnected or frayed/broken wires melted wires ect.
