Fear of Future and Career.?
-
I am a teenager(19) who is trying to earn his bachelor's degree (online) and is also working in a big Multi National company. Technically skilled & sound and quite intelligent , more of studious nature. Due to some economic crisis , had to end up in a situation like above , i.e. not getting enrolled for a regular college. I don't have big list of pals, since I stay more in solitude and try to read/observe life as much as I can. I am gradually feeling an increase in my depression and stress level due to the though of not possessing a very bright career.Though I comparatively find myself more skilled and stress handler practically than most people I have met , still the agony of my future is killing my brain slowly. It feels like ,I am pushing myself more and more into solitude and depressions which in turn is gradually leading to decay of brain cells............my colleagues keep on saying that you will make a good computer engineer in a good company , but then I see lots of people hanging around me running with the same job I am despite of having a very decent college degree......................... I would really appreciate some moral booster tips , and ideas that can help me calm down and focus more on future rather than just being annoyed by monotonous , and fearful future........

Answer:
I think your problem isn't primary with school or being smart enough, but with self-confidence. It sounds as if your self-confidence is a bit low. That's okay though, I understand how that is. The number one thing that determines future success is not schooling but self-confidence (that's my opinion). Anyway, you need to take a lot of time and practice developing your self-confidence. It takes time, but if you start now you can become pretty confidence by time you graduate. But you most practice. You must assert to yourself that you are just as good as anyone else. You must meditate on this while you are alone and assert it to yourself when you are around other people. Then keep doing it until that belief becomes a habit. I put two links below to my website and my ebook. The ebooks has exercises and more explanations about self-worth and personal self-confidence. Good luck.
