What do you write when you send your resume out in an email?

How to write an email for a job?

  • I need to send my resume to this manager which a friend of mine recommended. Its fo rthis electronic store. Can someone please give me an example letter of what to write or tell me if I need to add anything to my example. How does this sound: Hello, My name is John and I'm a friend of Jessica's who works at LC. She told me you are currently looking to hire someone so I've attached my resume to this email. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to set up an interview. I appreciate your time. Sincerely, John

It would be better if you wrote a cover letter and put that in the body of the email as well as attach it. GCFLearnFree.org has free tutorials on how to write a cover letter: http://www.gcflearnfree.org/coverletters It includes instructional text, informational graphics, examples, and even interactives for you to practice what you've learned/actually apply what you've learned. If you need additional help for things like writing a resume or how to prepare for an interview, there are tutorials for that as well: http://www.gcflearnfree.org/career Hope it helps and Good Luck!

Introduce yourself which you have done then state the vacancy you want to apply for and then where you heard about the vacancy. Employers like to know where you heard about it, I think it's because then they can know what places are good to advertise their vacancies. Then use the next paragraph to sell yourself, if you do it right it should grab their attention. Then state any relevant experience you have which is related to the job (only ever put relevant stuff in the cover email or letter). Then tell them that you have attached a copy of your CV/resume. Then thank them for their time and say if they have any further questions to feel free to contact you. Then end with the appropriate ending so yours faithfully or yours sincerely depending on if you know the name or not.

All bad no offense. You don't set up the interview the manager does. I got my job by going in asking for the manager, asking the manager for an application, fill it out there and give it back to the manager. Hand the manager resume. Look at name tag they usually have one, shake there hand and say thank you so and so.

Insert some photos of your genitals, both flaccid and erect. Companies like to have as much information on their employees as possible. Include a video of yourself having sexual intercourse if possible, to demonstrate your skill in that area.

Give your last name and Jessica's last name. Take out I'd be happy to set up an interview. The boss will if he wants to.

Hi John, The most important thing when writing a cover letter is to show the reader that you are a good candidate, and that you have done your homework on the company. Check out their website & ask Jessica for the manager's name and email address. That way you can catch his/her attention right from the start "Dear (name)," much better then a general hello or even worse a "dear sir or madam". Your cover letter should be short and to the point. It should make the reader want to open up your resume and consider you for an interview. Try something like: ______________________________________… (company name) (attn: contact name) (company address) (Date) Dear (contact name), I am a hard working, dedicated professional who is currently seeking a career with an amazing team in the electronics/customer relations industry. Your (unique/reliable/innovative/choose word here...) style of management has been brought to my attention along with a highly regarded recommendation from a (personal/professional) contact. After further investigation into (company name)'s corporate culture and values, I feel that I would be a great addition to your team & an asset to your organization. I have attached a copy of my resume for your review, and I am very interested in speaking with you to discuss any current or upcoming openings which would be a good match for my skills and background. (Sincerely/best regards/etc.) - your closing looks great, I would leave it as is from "If you have any further questions..." sign the cover letter and include your full name, address, email and telephone number at the bottom. Good luck!

John, the main thing you need to include in your letter is to highlight anything in your background that specifically qualifies you for the job. Very few people do this and it can take some time to really think about how your background qualifies you. I am not talking about general statements (e.g. I'm a hard worker, reliable, etc) because everyone writes these. In an electronics store, they'd be looking for someone with electronics aptitude, good people skills if you'll be dealing with the public, and retail experience. You may be the type of person who has a knack for technology but no real work experience, and if so, be sure to convey this through specific statements e.g. "I set up our home network for our family", "my friends typically phone me when they have a technical issue" etc.
