Will any 2.5 SATA hard drive work with the Xbox 360 slim?

Will normal xbox 360 cd drive work on xbox elite?

  • i have switched normal xbox 360 drive with another normal xbox 360 and it WORKED! but i havent tried it on an xbox elite. i would like to know before i buy an elite off craigslist. note that the elite has a broken cd tray and its going for $20.

There is no difference between the drives in the elite or the "normal" xbox 360 (assuming by normal you mean Pro/Premium or Arcade).
