How do you close an ear hole?

If I get a stretcher in my ear will the hole close up?

  • I want to get a stretcher for my ear but I dont want the hole to be there for ages I want it to close up if I get fed up of it

  • Answer:

Generally, stretching up to 8mm it will close up. However it depends on your ears. Some people naturally have more stretchy ears, and if you look after it carefully when stretching to keep your lobes more healthy, it will give it more of a chance. By looking after properly I mean to stretch it slowly using the correct equipment (e.g. stainless steel tapers), leave enough time between stretches (4-6 weeks minimum) and keep it clean (most important, 2-3 times daily with sea salt solution, or sea salt soaks, 1/4 sea salt dissolved in warm water.) Some people say 10mm or 0g is the final point of no return. Good luck, and look after it!

Your ear could repair itself, but it may be a really long time. Don't expect a 1in Diameter hole to close in less than 2 years.

don't bother, getting 'fed up' isn't an option
