How long does it take for Miralax to work?

Miralax and a suppository?

I've been constipated for about a week now, and I'm starting to get worried. While I was at the doctor she told me to start taking Miralax, I just took 3/4 of a dose. But it says it take up to 3 days to work, and I don't want to have to wait that long. Is it safe to take a suppository while taking Miralax? Thank you
Answer:

I would ditch the Miralax and use the suppositories instead (in conjunction with improvements to your diet and physical activity). At least the suppositories aren't known to affect the musculoskeleton and the urinary system.
