If my grades suck and I get a high SAT score will I get into a good college?

Well my grades are ok but I mean if I get an awesome grades on my sat will i get into a good college?

It depends what you mean by a good college, but if you have let's say a mediocre GPA (3.3-3.4) and an impressive SAT (2100+), you're still not going to be able to make it into any Ivy League, let alone any similar school, and probably not most private colleges simply because of the disparity between your GPA and your test scores. Low GPA and high standardized test scores suggest that long-term, you're not a strong academic performer, and that you're only good at studying for one particular 4-hour test. I would say that if you have similar stats to what I listed above, you're mainly targeting schools with 30% acceptance rates and above, which are pretty much all third-tier schools with maybe a smattering of second-tier schools.
