Have atheists read the Quran?

I have not read the entire thing but I have read a good part of it. In my quest to educate myself about their beliefs, I started to become so aghast that I could no longer go on reading.

The vast majority of them have not. Hence why they are atheists. Ignorance is bliss.

I read it. It's like the bible written by someone on bad weed. It is not perfect, it is a wretched, repetitive book. I had heard that it was so poetic and lyrical and everything, so I read it and I gave it a fair shake. It's garbage, just like all religious books. At least the old myths (greek, norse, etc.) were entertaining.

Sweetie, there are more choices out there than just 3 choices all worshiping the same god. Quite plainly you did not read "everything" but a mere miniscule amount before latching onto the dogma that the Quran is perfect which it most definitely is not.

You were never an atheist. If you were, you would have a better grasp as to what it's all about. I've never read the Quran, but I know a lot of atheists who have. I don't too many Muslims showing up at my door trying to convert me, so I've not done much research. I have read the bible twice. Once before I was an atheist, once after.

Most claim they have read the Bible.. if they can't understand that, then how do you expects them to even start understanding the Quran?

I'm glad you like a book. However, the fact that you like it does not make it 'real'. I like Green Lantern, but I don't expect to get a Power Ring because of it.
