What do I need to major in to become a detective?

What all do you need to become a cop or detective?

  • I think I figued out what I want to do with my life. Right now I am getting a degree of An Associates In Science. I lost my license to a DUI in 2008 and I know that will hold me back, so let me know if that will affect what I am planning on doing. After I get my degree I want to sell my house that is paid off right now for $80,000. I want to go to the army and then get out of the army and become either a cop or a detective. Will a DUI affect doing any of this?

    Most law enforcement agencies are "forgiving" when it comes to an applicants past history provided they are up front and honest about the mistake. This way...there's no deception during the process. Because of the needs for high standards of honesty and integrity...qualities obviously not held by people such as "Cat"...the hiring process will look for any attempt to deceive. That would be the disqualifier...not having been arrested. People like "Cat" and "Labeled" are merely problems associated with the uneducated side of society and more likely disgruntled only because they were caught breaking a law or two. Their rationale is to blame it on anybody but themselves! Sounds like the current President...I'm sure they admire him too! Good luck in your endeavors!

First off why would you want to become a pig? There gonna hold that DUI over your head and make you jump thru this hoop and that hoop just so they can have a good laugh...I dont agree with police using military tactics against unarmed civillians. There all walking around with body armor and military issued firearms. and cans of pepper spray..Truth be told they need all those weapons BC they cant fight..trust me I have tested this and the pigs are just a bunch of bitches with a gun and a badge...Stay on our side of the tracks and dont be a slave to the man..

you need to be a coward who beats and murders people instead of serving and protecting. but since you want to join the army i guess your already in the right mind set of a bastard like that.
