Homeschooling in Australia - assistance please? (anyone can answer this too!)?

  • Those who are/have been homeschooled, are you in a class or at home with your parent teaching you? I'm a bit curious, do you feel a sense of social inclusion or not? I'd really love to have your opinions (To those who are outside Australia, is it alright if you could put the country you were homeschooled in? I'm just getting a sense of the different opinions. Thank you!

    America---- I was home school at Arizona virtual academy after being dropped from carl hayden high school for bad choices.. Yes, taking online courses will mean u are at home to do them. HOWEVER, you can also go to a library to do them. I only stayed at AZVA for 6 months.... i got tired of it cause the teachers never helped... Now i go to a charter school. its amazing! teachers are very supportive and kind. I would suggest looking up Prima Vera --- online school-- if ur interested and read about it. I do not know of any other online schools...but if u dont like the idea of it--Charter school wuld be my best recommendation. I go to Student Choice High School in Tempe Arizona,

I'm currently being home schooled. You basically school yourself at home. You could request a tutor or have your parents teach you but I myself am self taught. For sure though, you need a lot of will power. There are plenty of distractions. It's a good challenge for a young person. You can also take online classes, otherwise they'll send you your books with instruction booklets on units and sections in the books and whatnot. Btw, you run on your own schedule, going more by years and not the whole "freshman senior" thing. If your social, don't do it, bc you will miss out on things like clubs, dances, socializing experiences, one on one experiences with teachers and classmates. But if you can go without it or know that won't change your social life, your good to go.
