Is there any way I can play The Sims 2 Pets?

Do you need The Sims 3 to play The Sims 3: Pets?

  • I'm want The Sims 3: Pets but I'm wondering if you need The Sims 3 to play the pets? The Sims 3 doesn't work on my computer but the the sims 3 pets does.

    For PC? Yes. All the expansion packs are only add-ons, you need the base game to play them. Other platforms, no, you can just buy the sims 3 pets and it will work fine :)

You need Sims 3 (Which is also called the BASE GAME) to play any of the add ons. If you already have one ADD ON, or EXPLANSION PACK such as World Adventures, Late Night, or any others in the Sims 3 series you'll need that disc. The disc that will work in your computer is the most recently released, for example, if you bought Late Night and had the BASE GAME, you would need Late Night to play.

If its the PC version then yes, you need the base Sims 3 game, and then you install expansion packs as well, and they add extra features to the game. If the base game isn't working then the expansion packs won't either.
